First Ever Craft Fair

Hello everyone

For those of you that follow me on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook you will know the last few weeks have been the big craft fair build up. So on Friday I realised that everything was complete and there was nothing else I could really do to prepare myself for yesterday's craft fair.

From 10.30am - 4.30pm I was at the Leeds Corn Exchange, along with a great selection of other crafters and makers. I had a range of jewellery available to buy. From earrings to necklaces, cufflinks to brooches and a lovely set of pocket mirrors. I had a wonderful helper on my stall which made me feel a lot more relaxed.

All in all it was good day. I learnt a lot, met some lovely people and made some pleasing sales. I am now on the look out for a Christmas craft fair to attend. Lets hope I can find one.

So the craft fair is getting closer and closer, it seems to be creeping up on me, the little devil! I thought I would share some of my props for the fair. Remember the craft fair is on Saturday 25th October at the Leeds Corn Exchange...do pop along and say hi!

I was thinking the other day how nice it is that I am doing a craft fair in one of my favourite months. I love October, not only because I am a huge horror fan and get excited for Halloween but I'm totally in my element when the autumn leaves are falling, the fields surrounding my house start to change colour and last but certainly not least, the darker and colder nights approaching us.

Craft Fair Excitement

Hello to my lovely readers

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.  It’s been rather busy in The Makings of Lea Lou studio this week, so I thought I would let you know what I’ve been up to!

I am attending my FIRST ever craft fair on Saturday 25th October, I’m so excited. I’m scared/giddy/nervous all in one. I think it’s because I just don’t know what to expect. I keep questioning everything…how much stock shall I bring? Will my table look good? Am I taking the right things? And the worst question of all…will anyone be interested in my stall and what I have to offer? I hope they will be.

I have bought a tree from Hobby Craft to hang a few of my necklaces. I think this is such a pretty tree and perfect for my woodland themed jewellery. With the help of my dear granddad I have collected a few tree logs to have on my table too. Next week I will be making some bunting and looking into props and table cloths. EEEEK my mind is full of all ideas of how to present my table. I can’t wait till it all comes together!

At my stall there will be earrings, necklaces, brooches, pocket mirrors and a little surprise which will then go live in my shop on the same day but nothing will be revealed until the 25th. Keep your eyes peeled!

Before I go, I've added a few new items to my shop go have a look...below is a sneak preview of one :)
